Outreach for Navajo Immersion School

Navajo Nation REPA Radon program conducted an Outreach in the Navajo (Dine') language for the Fort Defiance Immersion School. The Outreach was unique because once you enter the school building you can only talk in the Navajo languauge. This presentation was conducted for the eight graders for three classes in the morning. The Indoor AIr Quality House was also displayed which goes over other indoor contaminants such as lead, VOC's, asbestos, radon, pesticides, and solvents, Thre presentation was a success. Since most of our youth mainly talk the english language this was all conducted in the Navajo langauge with the students being able to understand.
