Hall County Radon Proclamation Televised

The Hall County Board of Commissioners Meetings are televised 4 times a day on local Channel 18 for 7 days following each Council Meeting. Hal County Board of Commissioners proclaimed January as Radon Action Month in Hall County on Jan. 14, 2010. Ginger Bennett, Radon Educator based in Hall County was present to receive the proclamation, accompanied the Hall Co. Radon Poster Contest, Mauricio Alberto-1st place, Keyla Alvarez-2nd Place , Sandy Ortiz-3rd Place, and Rev. Ruth Demby, Director of the First Baptist Church After School Program. Commissioner Billy Powell read the complete proclamation and presented it to Ginger Bennett. Ms. Bennett gave a brief acceptance speech introducing the poster winners and urged all attendees to test their homes for radon and to fix them if high levels were found.
