Event Description
In an effort to educate the citizens in the West County communities a radon awareness program about radon and its health risks for the Bessemer/West Jefferson County Chapter #5418 of the AARP Inc. was conducted at the Ethel Hall auditorium located on Lawson State Community College. The radon exhibit display was set up and Radon Is Real A Drop in the Bucket was shown. Radon bags containing radon information and a pair of radon green socks were distributed to each member. Members of the organization were encouraged to purchase a radon test kit and test their homes.
