Radon Awareness Program for Fifty Plus Club

In an effort to educate citizens in Madison County communities, a radon awareness program about radon and its health risks was presented to The Fifty Plus Auxiliary members.The meeting was held at St. John Afriician Methodist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. The radon exhibit was set up and radon bags containing radon materials were distributed. Pat Smith presented a radon awareness program to this same group in January 2008. At the end of the presentation, members were encouraged to purchase radon test kits and re- test their homes for radon since it had been two years since they tested their homes. Pat Smith was given a certificate of appreciation for presenting the program to the organization.
