Newborn Pilot Program- Free Test Kits Offered at Lamaze Class

Coupons for free radon test kits along with informational brochures were distributed to expectant parents attending Lamaze classes at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Test kits were purchased by the Essex County Cancer Coalition as part of the Newborn Pilot Program and distributed through a partnership with Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
This program is offered by the NJDEP-Radon Program with funding provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-SIRG Grant and offers up to $1000 reimbursement for the purchase of radon test kits. The goal is for all newborns to begin life in a healthy home environment.
