2026 National Radon Poster and Video Contest
The CRCPD E25 Committee on Radon is pleased to announce the following details on the 2026 National Radon Poster and Video Contests. Attached are some additional details and forms (PDF). Feel free to distribute this to anybody who may be interested.
- All states and/or tribes must submit their 1st place poster and/or video to Eleanor Divver (edivver@utah.gov) by November 21, 2025.
- The CRCPD E25 Committee on Radon will vote on the posters and videos for the National Radon Poster and Video Contest in mid-December. Winners will be announced during National Radon Action Month, January 2026.
- How the Contest Works (and How You Can Help!)
:- The National Radon Poster and Video Contest typically targets youth aged 9-14 for posters and high school students for videos. Entries often focus on key radon topics such as:
● What is radon?
● Where does radon come from?
● How does radon get into our homes?
● Radon can cause lung cancer.
● Test your home for radon.
● Mitigating radon in your home
- State programs can organize their own contests, selecting top entries to advance to the national competition. This allows for localized impact and recognition before students compete on a larger stage
- The National Radon Poster and Video Contest typically targets youth aged 9-14 for posters and high school students for videos. Entries often focus on key radon topics such as:
- The American Lung Association (ALA) will be providing the following prizes to the national winners:
Poster prizes:
- 1st place –$1,000
- 2nd place –$300
- 3rd place – $200
Video prize:
- 1st place –$1,000
