Abstract:
This Web-based report includes the official federal statistics on cancer incidence from registries that have high-quality data and cancer mortality statistics for each year, and for 2006-2010 combined. It is produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), in collaboration with the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR).
Action hearings regarding the National Center for Healthy Housing's (NCHH) Multifamily Radon Proposal will occur at the end of this month.
The proposal outlines revised amendments to the International Building Code (IBC). These amendments would require the addition of radon resistant new construction provisions to construction codes for educational properties and multifamily residential properties, helping to ensure that new housing and schools do not have dangerous levels of radon.
The following document shows the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) radon testing guidelines for childer care centers. The document provides recommendations for staff and parents.
